5.2 magnitude earthquakes jolted various parts of country
Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) Today a 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted various parts of the country, including Islamabad. The earthquake spread a wave of panic among people and they came out of their houses reciting verses of the Holy Quran.
As per details, tremors were felt in various parts of the country, including the federal capital, Swat, Lower Dir, Chitral and Malakand districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the seismological centre, the magnitude of the earthquake on the Richter scale was recorded as 5.2 while the underground depth was 91 kilometers.
Furthermore it says the epicenter of the earthquake was the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region. No loss of life or property has been reported due to the earthquake.
