20 outlaws arrested; drugs and weapons recovered

Ramna police team arrested an accused namely Habib Moras and recovered 60 liters of alcohol from his possession.

ISLAMABAD: Staff Reporter- Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 20 outlaws including nine absconders from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.

Following these directions, the Karachi Company police team arrested an accused namely Saddam Hussain and recovered 10 bottles of wine from his possession. The Shalimar police team arrested an accused namely Muhib Ullah Khan and recovered 290 gram heroin from his possession.

Likewise, the Ramna police team arrested an accused namely Habib Moras and recovered 60 liters of alcohol from his possession. The Shams Colony police team arrested an accused namely Mikhail Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Koral police team arrested three accused namely Kamran, Syed Ahmed Shah and Saif Ali Khan and recovered two 30 bore pistols and 22 wine bottles from their possession.

Similarly, the Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Ijaz and recovered 140 gram heroin from his possession. The Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Hamza and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Usama and recovered one Kalashnikov from his possession.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.

During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders, police teams busted nine proclaimed offenders from different areas of the city.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.

Distribution of uniform among Islamabad Capital Police is underway

According to the details, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has initiated a distribution of uniforms among its personnel. This initiative aims to ensure a uniform and smart appearance of all officers and officials.

The distribution process is currently underway, with uniforms being distributed to 4,000 officers and personnel. Moreover, the distribution of uniforms is being carried out on a daily basis.

As part of this ongoing process, an additional 1,000 officials are set to receive their uniforms in the next three days. In this regard, ICCPO issued orders to Capital Police Officer Headquarters to personally oversee the whole process.
