1979 People Enter Pakistan via Taftan Border: Officials
Thousands cross Pakistan’s Taftan border, including students, diplomats, pilgrims, and international visitors, amid Middle East tensions.
Pakistan Visitors – Despite rising tensions in the Middle East due to US and Israeli actions against Iran, Pakistani nationals continued to cross into Pakistan via the Taftan border on Thursday.
Officials reported that a total of 1,979 people entered the country, including 843 students, 351 drivers, and 102 business visa holders. Additionally, at least 49 pilgrims and 37 diplomats arrived through the border.
37 tourists, 4 entry visa and 4 resident permit holders were included.
Pakistan, Indonesia voice concern over escalating Middle East crisis
Deputy Commissioner Chagai Jahanzeb Shahwani said 543 Iranian citizens also entered Pakistan through Taftan border. Citizens of Australia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Denmark have also reached Taftan border.
