BODRUM (Web Desk) – At least 18 migrants drowned after a rubber dinghy sank in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Bodrum in southwestern Turkey, the Turkish coastguard said on Wednesday.
According to officials, 21 undocumented migrants were rescued alive during search and rescue operations, while the bodies of 18 victims were recovered from the sea. Authorities have not yet confirmed the nationalities of those on board.
The coastguard added that efforts are ongoing to locate any missing individuals, with search operations continuing in the area.
