Karak(Special Correspondent)-17 terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij were killed during an operation by security forces in Karak district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
DPO Shahbaz Elahi said the operation was launched following confirmed information about the presence of Khawarijs from the banned TTP Mullah Nazir group in the Darshakhel area of Karak. 17 Khawarijs died in clashes with security forces, while three soldiers sustained minor injuries.
The operation continues based on information that 22 Khawarijs remain in the area. Authorities fear further casualties. In response, a curfew has been imposed in Darshakhel and neighbouring villages.
DPO Shahbaz Elahi urged residents not to leave their homes until the completion of the operation and to cooperate with police and security forces. He warned that the enemies of peace would find no place to hide.
