15-Year-Old Orphan Allegedly Chased and Killed by Employer in Multan

Police arrest the suspect, register a murder case and question orphanage staff as the investigation continues.

Multan – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – A 15-year-old boy was allegedly chased and run over by a man in a car at a private housing society in Multan. Police say the boy had just left his work at the suspect’s house.

The victim has been identified as Waseem. He lived at an orphanage run by a non-governmental organisation (NGO).

Police say the suspect, named Tauqeer, has been arrested. A murder case has also been registered against him.

Multan City Police Officer Akhtar Farooq shared the details with the media. He said the orphanage administration had sent Waseem to Tauqeer seven days earlier.

The purpose was simple. The boy was supposed to learn a trade and build a future for himself.

Tauqeer worked as an electrician at different buildings. According to the police officer, he was teaching Waseem how to become one too.

Things went wrong when the boy left the work. Police say this made the suspect angry, and he went after him in his car.

CCTV footage of the incident has reportedly come to light. It shows the teenager running away as the car closes in and hits him.

Police have also looked into whether the boy had stolen anything. Early investigations found no evidence of theft.

This detail is important. It means there is no proof so far that the boy did anything wrong before he was chased.

Orphanage staff questioned

Police have detained some members of the orphanage administration. They are being questioned as part of the investigation.

The police officer said children from the same orphanage had been sent to the suspect before. They also went there for vocational training.

Investigators now want to understand how Waseem was placed with Tauqeer. They are also checking what happened in the days and hours before his death.

The murder case was registered with the police themselves as the complainant. This means the state is pursuing the case on its own.

Boy buried in Muzaffargarh

Waseem was originally from Muzaffargarh. After the incident, his uncle and maternal uncle took his body to his hometown.

His funeral prayer was held in the village of Daultpur. He was then laid to rest in the local ancestral graveyard.

Only close relatives and orphanage officials attended the funeral, according to available reports. The funeral was held quickly because of the condition of the body.

The case has raised hard questions about child safety. Many people want to know how vulnerable children are placed in work and training, and who checks on them.

Police say the investigation is still going on. More details are expected as officers collect evidence and record statements.
