RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) – Security forces in Balochistan killed 15 militants in two separate intelligence-based operations, according to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations.
The first operation was conducted in Harnai District, where security personnel targeted militants linked to Indian-backed proxy groups. During the raid, forces surrounded a militant hideout and engaged the suspects in a fierce exchange of fire. After the intense gun battle, 12 militants associated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Balochistan Liberation Army were killed. A cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from the site.

In another intelligence-driven operation carried out in Basima, security forces acted on information about the presence of militants in the area. Troops confronted the suspects and used mixed-caliber weapons during the encounter, resulting in the killing of three more militants. Additional arms and explosive materials were seized during the operation.
The military’s media wing stated that clearance operations are continuing in the region to ensure that any remaining foreign-backed militants are eliminated.
These actions are part of Pakistan’s broader counter-terrorism campaign, Azm-e-Istehkam, which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. The initiative aims to dismantle militant networks and eradicate terrorism supported by foreign elements across the country.
