13 officers Martyred in 15 Anti-Polio Team Attacks in KP this year

The CTD report identifies two extremist organizations as being behind these attacks.
PESHAWAR: the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) reveals a surge in attacks on polio vaccination teams in the province this year. The report states that 13 police personnel have been martyred and 36 injured while protecting these vital healthcare workers.
The report details a troubling geographical spread of these attacks, with four occurring in Bannu, three each in Bajaur and Tank, and one each in Khyber, Lakki Marwat, Mardan, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan.
Bajaur has seen the most violence, with nine police officers losing their lives and 30 others sustaining injuries while safeguarding polio teams. Bannu follows with two martyred officers and three injured. South Waziristan and Tank each witnessed the martyrdom of one officer on polio duty.
