Islamabad capital territory police have arrested 8 criminals and recovered narcotics and arm ammunition from their possession, a Police Public Relation Officer said.
He said that Islamabad capital police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious life and property of citizens.
According to the details, Kohsar police team arrested an accused namely Naveed and recovered 1130 gram hashish from his possession. Likewise, Aabpara police arrested two accused namely Abdul Rauf and Afaq Arif and recovered one 223 bore rifle and one dagger from their possession.
Similarly, Golra police arrested two accused namely Mazher Iqbal and Naseer Ahmed and recovered two pistols with ammunition from their possession. Tarnol police arrested an accused namely Lateef and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Moreover, Koral police team arrrested two accused namely Awal khan and Muhammad kashif and recovered 1490 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their posession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
DIG (Operations) Sohail Zafar Chatha directed all zonal officers to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard” he added.
