Muzaffarabad(Staff Reporter);Youm-e-Istehsal: AJK Prime Minister Slams India’s Human Rights Violations in Kashmir,On the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal, Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq addressed a special session of the AJK Legislative Assembly, condemning India’s actions in occupied Kashmir as a dark chapter in Kashmiri history.

The Prime Minister condemned the actions of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who, on August 5, 2019, revoked the special status of the region, advancing his Hindutva ideology. He emphasized that the Modi government’s human rights violations in occupied Kashmir have failed to suppress the Kashmiri quest for freedom.

Anwar ul Haq remarked that in today’s India, neither Muslims nor other minorities are safe, as Hindutva reigns supreme. He described occupied Kashmir as a prison, with India’s military might imposing severe oppression on the local population.

The Prime Minister asserted that a strong and prosperous Pakistan is crucial for the success of the Kashmiri freedom movement. He praised the unbreakable bond between the Pakistani government, its people, and the Kashmiris, and acknowledged the clear stance of Pakistan’s military leadership on the Kashmir issue.

He urged for unity and solidarity in supporting the Kashmiri cause and lauded the unparalleled resistance of the Kashmiris against Modi’s state terrorism. Comparing their struggle to that of the Palestinians, he noted the immense sacrifices made by the mothers, sisters, youth, and women in both regions, expressing confidence that their perseverance will eventually lead to freedom.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to Ismail Haniyeh’s martyrdom, condemned Israel’s brutal actions, and criticized the international community’s indifference. He concluded with a resolute belief that the sacrifices of the Palestinians and Kashmiris will ultimately lead to the defeat of both India and Israel, pledging full support from the AJK government in the ongoing struggle for Kashmir’s liberation
