Chaudhry Anwarul Haq Visits Poonch, Promises Development

Pledges Quality Infrastructure, Reforms in Azad Kashmir
Ponch/Haveli Kahota.-(Special Correspondent)-Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq visited the Poonch region, attending various events and meetings. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and praised the region’s traditions and intelligent people.
During his visit, Prime Minister Haq attended a condolence ceremony for former senior minister Chaudhry Muhammad Aziz in Haveli Kahota. He praised Aziz’s sophisticated personality and great abilities, acknowledging his contributions to politics. The Prime Minister also announced that the Shan Shian Project would be renamed after Chaudhry Muhammad Aziz in recognition of his services.
In Tararkhal, Prime Minister Haq addressed a reception ceremony hosted by Government Minister Sardar Amir Altaf Khan. He announced the appointment of 153 doctors on merit through PSC exams and highlighted reforms in institutions, particularly the health sector. The Prime Minister also emphasized the restoration of sanctity to NTS and PSC.
Prime Minister Haq acknowledged regional deprivation and pledged to address it. He stressed the importance of unity, transcending regional and communal differences. He expressed his commitment to improving infrastructure, particularly roads, and promoting tourism to increase local income.
The Prime Minister inspected the under-construction Toli Pir Talasdna Road and directed the Road Department to complete the project soon. He emphasized the importance of quality work, stating that there would be no compromise on it.
In Khaigala, Prime Minister Haq addressed another reception ceremony, where he reiterated his commitment to addressing regional issues. He announced the establishment of a Girls Degree College, fulfilling a local demand. The Prime Minister praised the region’s potential for tourism and encouraged locals to showcase its beauty on social media.
Government Ministers Sardar Amir Altaf Khan, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Zafar Iqbal Malik, Nisar Ansar Abdali, and Ahmed Raza Qadri accompanied the Prime Minister during his visit.
Prime Minister Haq’s visit aimed to strengthen ties with the local community, address regional concerns, and promote development in the Poonch region.
During his interactions, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of realism and transparency in governance. He expressed his determination to end corruption and ensure accountability, citing the success of e-tendering in saving three billion rupees.
