South Africa ready to play good cricket in Pakistan: Bavuma
LAHORE: South Africa cricket team captain Temba Bavuma said that they were ready to play good cricket in Pakistan.
Talking to the media in Lahore, Bavuma confirmed that Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy due to a back injury. He said that Corbin Bosch has been included in the squad as his replacement.
He said that the playing XI will be decided based on the conditions, and if two spinners were needed, they would be included in the team. He said that the team was united and determined to perform well.
Bavuma noted that South Africa was playing in Pakistan after a long time and that the tri-nation series ahead of the Champions Trophy will provide a good opportunity for preparation.
He said that Nortje’s injury was a significant setback for their cricket team but expressed confidence in Bosch, calling him a good player.

He said that the tri-nation series would be a challenge for the young players, but the team would make every effort to win it.
The tri-nation series is being played between South African, New Zealand and Pakistani in a thrilling lead-up to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 9. The tournament will feature Pakistan, New Zealand, India and Bangladesh in Group A. Group B will consist of England, South Africa, Australia and Afghanistan.
