Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said that the governor’s objections will be addressed.
Lahore (Staff Reporter) Today Governor Punjab Baligh-ur-Rehman refused to give his assent to Punjab Local Government Act 2021.
The governor, who belongs to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has returned the act and even provincial minister for local bodies failed to convince Baligh-ur-Rehman over the matter.
Furthermore Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said that “the governor’s objections will be addressed and expressed confidence that the government will manage to get the act passed.”
It merits mention that Punjab Assembly had passed the Local Government Act on September 14.
