PTI to March Toward Islamabad with Full Preparedness, Says Junaid Akbar
PTI’s Swabi Rally on Feb 8 to Be a 'Historical Power Show': Junaid Akbar

PESHAWAR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) President Junaid Akbar Khan announced that the party is gearing up for a march towards Islamabad with full preparation this time. Speaking to the media on Sunday, Akbar emphasized that PTI would be better prepared compared to their previous attempt, which saw unexpected violence, including live bullets.
“We were not expecting live bullets on us last time. This time, we’ll come with complete preparation,” said Akbar, who also stated that while PTI aims for a peaceful demonstration, they will be well-equipped to handle any situation that may arise.
Akbar, who was appointed as the new provincial president of PTI KP, also clarified that his primary focus would be on fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to him by PTI founder Imran Khan. He reaffirmed that his intention was not to engage in confrontations with the government or institutions.
Looking ahead to PTI’s rally in Swabi on February 8, Akbar said the event would be a “historical power show” and a key moment for the party’s supporters.
Regarding party governance, Akbar revealed that while KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur would concentrate on provincial matters, he would manage the party’s activities in KP. He also emphasized that he was not seeking any ministerial position and that changes in government leadership were the prerogative of the chief minister.

Preparations for the Swabi rally are already in full swing, with PTI leaders instructed to mobilize workers across the province. Each Khyber Pakhtunkhwa MNA has been tasked with bringing at least 500 supporters to the event, and party workers are expected to arrange their own transport to ease financial burdens on the leadership. Additionally, PTI workers from Punjab have been invited to participate in the rally to show solidarity.
