Bloodshed is being played with human lives by the state repression for the last five months in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

RAWALKOT (Haris Shoaib) Special Report: In Rawalkot, the people’s rebellion has been going on intensively for 5 months due to the privileges of the elites, subsidy on flour, in which the civil society, businessmen’s association, lawyers, students, including a large number of government workers are also participating. They have shaken the houses of the state, the violation of human rights has been going on for 76 years in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, here the bloodshed is being played with human lives by the state repression for the last five months in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

Initially, the movement was started on May 9, 2022 over the flour crisis, which was later extended to include other demands. The public uprising in Pakistan-administered Kashmir was started by President District Press Club Poonch Rawalkot Sardar Qadeer Khan along with other colleagues from the supply market (there was also a public rights movement here earlier) which was started by the flour crisis, but the leadership immediately presented a charter of demands and included other demands in the demands of this movement, provision of subsidy on wheat and fixing the prices of flour on the pattern of Gilgit-Baltistan and Srinagar, abolition of cruel taxes in electricity prices, reduction in privileges of the ruling class, etc. The central demands included the restoration of the subsidy provided by the Federation of Pakistan in 2008. An unsuccessful attempt was made to end the subsidy provided to Gilgit-Baltistan, but due to the strong reaction of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Pakistani imperialism He was forced to kneel. In this region, Pakistan-administered Kashmir produces the cheapest electricity in the world.

Zahid electricity is generated from 3300 MW in this region and 5000 MW of projects are under way. The total power generation capacity of 9000 MW is available in this region. It started and till now it has spread in many cities of Pakistan, including all the districts of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. It has been six months since this rebellion has been completed. Cases were filed, after which the people became angrier and the morale of the people will be higher.

In the month of September, the boycott of power outages intensified in all districts of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. In total, more than 70% of electricity bills were boycotted. Even after numerous cases have been registered against the people who were washed in the rivers, the morale of the people is high and they will continue their struggle until the demands are approved.

Action Committees have been set up at council and village level and all these action committees are controlled by a central 30-member central action committee۔Recent months saw a major phase in the movement when students and women took part. State repression and local religious elites tried unsuccessfully to stop the protests of women and students and tried to stop the students and especially the women’s movement by making various accusations but failed miserably. protested, but the good thing is that this movement was completely peaceful.

In 2021, there was a large-scale public uprising in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. After that, in 2022, Mangla, Neelam Jhelum, wheat and other commodities were also seen. There was a movement on subsidy but this movement of 2022 was killed with state fraud but the existing movement is not falling under the dupe of the ruling class because it has learned from the tricks of the ruling class in the past. and have seen the anti-people policies of the ruling class, this time in the general elections, the representatives of the People’s Action Committee will be the elected representatives of the people who will fight in their assembly.

The people believe that now we will not be deceived by the ruling classes and local elites, the struggle will continue until the rulers do not accept the demands, so the success of this movement depends on the workers, working classes, students of this region of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. and consists of women. There is also a need to involve government workers in large numbers in general strikes of the state. Strikes by government workers can further force the state to its knees with public inertia and solidarity if this continuation Moving forward, we can move towards a real revolutionary change in this region by carving out new leaderships.
