PPP’s clean sweep in first phase of Sindh LG Elections
In the first phase of local bodies elections in 14 districts of Sindh province, the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has won with a big margin over rival parties.
Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazlur Rehman Group (JUI-F), Citizens Alliance, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Sindh United Party (SUP) and other parties’ candidates were in the field.
Few seats have been won by the GDA, PTI and independent candidates in the recent first phase of the local body’s elections in Sindh. The initial results are followed.
Munir Ahmed Soomro, elder brother of PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s political secretary Jamil Ahmed Soomro and vice-chairman Abdul Haq Khaawar have won the LG elections of 13 polling stations of Union Committee-II Haideri Town, Larkana.
