Karachi-Police Officer Dies and One Injured in Shootout with Robbers on Super Highway. A confrontation with robbers on the Karachi Super Highway led to the death of one police officer and injuries to another from gunfire.
The Sindh Interior Minister has demanded a detailed report on the incident.
Police officers patrolling the Site area of the Super Highway were alerted to robbers near the Mahammadi Goth stream. When the robbers spotted the police, they opened fire.

In the ensuing exchange, two officers, Adil Patafi and Chaman Abbas, were wounded. Both were rushed to a private hospital, where Constable Chaman Abbas later died from his injuries. It was noted that the deceased officer was not wearing a bulletproof vest at the time. The robbers fled towards the stream, abandoning their motorcycle.
CCTV footage of the incident captured the suspects firing at the police and then fleeing the scene.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Dr. Farukh Raza arrived to oversee the situation, and a search operation was initiated to locate the suspects.
In response, Sindh Interior Minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar has demanded a report from SSP East and instructed that strict measures be taken against the culprits.
