Pakistan Post’s Billions Worth of Property Encroached: Auditor General’s Report Released

Islamabad: The Auditor General has released a report highlighting that Pakistan Post’s properties worth billions of rupees have been encroached upon by unauthorized individuals. According to the report, 248 buildings, plots, and land parcels across the country are under illegal occupation.
The report states that non-governmental individuals have established encroachments on these lands. Major cities where these properties are occupied include Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. The report also notes that Pakistan Post’s rest houses and residential buildings in various cities are under illegal possession.
Despite efforts, Pakistan Post has been unable to reclaim these properties. The report suggests that if Pakistan Post successfully removes the encroachments, it could generate significant revenue from these properties.
