Pakistan Association Dubai Joins Emirates Environmental Group’s Plantation Campaign

Pakistan appreciates the recent COP28 efforts of the United Arab Emirates on climate change.

DUBAI: (Sadia Abbasi)- Emirates Environmental Group (Emirates environmental group EEG) is the first environmental NGO in the world to be ISO 14001 certified. It is the only organization of its kind in the UAE to be recognized by the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). Extending the series of the campaign, a special ceremony of tree planting campaign was organized in the state of Ras Al Khaimah, Hatta, in which Pakistan Association Dubai also participated.

The chief guest of the ceremony was His Highness the Sheikh of Ras Al Khaimah, Engineer Sheikh Salim bin Sultan bin Sukkur Al Qasimi. A large number of PAD members including President of Pakistan Association Dubai Dr. Faisal Ikram, Consul General Pakistan Consulate Dubai hussain Muhammad, Shabbir Merchant, Nafar Hussain, Maryam Mumtaz, Raja Amjad Kabir attended the event, members of Pakistan Journalist Forum UAE, PID members and A large number of Emirati community participated, on this occasion Pakistani bike rider took a special part in the event by hoisting Pakistani flags.

Sheikh Salim bin Sultan Al Sukkur bin Qasmi, the chief guest of the event, said that this year is being celebrated by the UAE government as the “year of sustainability”, a large number of trees will be planted to combat environmental changes. Today’s ceremony is a link in this series.
