As 300 individuals are expected to perform Itikaf at Faisal Mosque from the beginning of the third Ashra of Ramadan, the administration of Faisal Mosque had demanded a registration fee of Rs 5,000, requesting applications.
The spokesperson of the International Islamic University, Naseer Fareed, stated that the university president has not only issued directives to waive the prescribed Rs 5000 registration fee for Itikaf but also instructed the Dawah Academy that any decision regarding matters related to Faisal Mosque that concern the general public should be formally approved by the university president, and the academy should not make any decisions independently.
