NA and Senate to Deliberate on Significant Legislative Proposals Today

Government Instructs Full Attendance Ahead of Pivotal Legislative Discussions

Islamabad-(Staff Reporter): Key sessions of the National Assembly and Senate are scheduled for Monday, with important legislative measures expected to be discussed.

The National Assembly, led by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, will gather at 4 PM. The released agenda, covering seven key points, includes the anticipated passage of the Anti-Terrorism Amendment Bill and a bill focused on expanding the judiciary.

According to the agenda, the Assembly will review the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Amendment Ordinance. This amendment to Section Two of Act Seventeen specifies that cases will be allocated to a designated bench under the oversight of the Chief Justice.

A notice regarding Pakistan’s recent ranking of 129 on the Rule of Law Index will also be presented. The agenda further includes a motion of gratitude for the President’s speech to the joint parliamentary session.

Additionally, Aliya Kamran is expected to address the grounding of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft, accompanied by a session for questions and points of order.

Meanwhile, the Senate’s session will tackle a 39-point agenda, featuring the introduction of three new bills along with reviews and approvals for 11 bills submitted by standing committees.

The government has instructed all parliament members to ensure their attendance at these crucial sessions.
