AJK Premier Calls for Positive Journalism in Democratic Society

Islamabad-In a separate meeting with the Baloch Press Club delegation, led by Shamshad Ali Nizami, PM Haq stressed the importance of positive journalism in a healthy democracy. He urged the media to present a true image of society, highlighting positive developments in the state. The prime minister assured the delegation that journalists’ problems would be addressed on a priority basis.

The delegation sought PM’s attention to the press club’s lack of space and funds. In response, the prime minister issued instructions for providing space and a cabin for the press club. Minister for Tourism and Archeology Sardar Faheem Akhtar Rabbani was also present, along with journalists Malik Yasin Tahir, Sardar Imtiaz, and social media activist Khalid Mughal.

This development comes as Pakistan’s legal education system faces challenges, including conflicting laws between the Pakistan Bar Council and Higher Education Commission ¹. The country’s legal system has been struggling, with weak legal education and awareness contributing to a weak rule of law ¹. Efforts to strengthen legal education and promote positive journalism are essential for Pakistan’s democratic growth.
