Islamabad _Kite-flying and construction near or under electrical installations is a dangerous and illegal activity that can lead to loss of life and property at any time. Chief Executive Officer IESCO Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan has requested the esteemed users to avoid the use of diffusion/metallic cords during kites flying.

Due to metallic cords often lead to short circuit or damage to the IESCO installations, causing massive loss of life and property and Uninterrupted power supply is also affected. Consumers should never put their lives and loved ones at risk and avoid any construction near or under electrical installations because life is a precious gift.

IESCO adopting precautionary measures in rainy spell

He further said that consumers should never try to remove tangled cords and kites from electricity poles, wires and transformers by themselves, but report it to the nearest IESCO complaint offices or IESCO helpline number 118 so that all precautionary measures can be taken.
