Election Commentary Possible Only After February 8: Justice Athar Minallah

London: Justice Athar Minallah of the Supreme Court has stated that it will only be possible to comment on the election after February 8.
Speaking at the Future of Pakistan Conference in London, Justice Athar Minallah emphasized that elections should not just be about having an election, but rather about having genuine elections.
He said that by suppressing freedom of expression, we have half-lost our nation, emphasizing the crucial importance of freedom of expression in our society.
Regarding forced disappearances, Justice Athar Minallah remarked that as a nation, we must think that when this issue occurs in Balochistan or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it is not considered a problem, but when it happens in Punjab, it becomes an issue.

He further stated that although the constitution has been violated multiple times in the country, no one has been held accountable for violating it. However, he expressed hope that the youth will bring positive change.
