Another Polio Case Reported in Pakistan, Total Cases Reach 65

QUETTA: A new polio case has been reported in Pakistan, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 65. According to officials, a 1.5-year-old child in the Qila Abdullah district of Balochistan has been affected by the virus.

This marks the 27th polio case in Balochistan, which has seen a significant number of infections. In response, the Emergency Operation Center has announced that a polio eradication campaign will begin in Balochistan on December 30.

The country has been witnessing a steady increase in cases of wild polio virus type (1) this year.
