AJK PM Unveils Plan to Boost Tourism in Scenic Region

MIRPUR, Feb 06 (APP): Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister (AJKPM) Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq announced that the government is working on an integrated plan to promote tourism in the picturesque AJK region, leveraging its abundant natural beauty.

During a meeting with media influencers Carrie and Mac Candee in the state capital on Thursday, the Prime Minister emphasized the region’s stunning landscape, including its mountains, valleys, rivers, and temperate climate, which have long made it a sought-after destination for tourists worldwide.

He highlighted that Azad Kashmir remains a peaceful area, attracting visitors from around the globe, and assured that the government is committed to providing necessary facilities for tourists. “Steps are being taken to protect forests and the natural environment,” he added.

The PM also drew attention to the deteriorating political and human rights situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir, describing it as an open-air prison under heavy military occupation. Senior officials, including Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, and Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, were also present during the meeting.
