KARACHI: A US woman who traveled to Karachi to marry her Pakistani lover has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, low hemoglobin levels, and various other health issues.
According to Head of the Psychiatry Department at Jinnah Hospital, Prof Dr Chunni Lal, the woman’s psychiatric condition, along with other health concerns, were identified through a series of medical tests.
Dr. Chunni Lal stated that the woman has exhibited unusual behaviors, such as refusing to eat hospital meals and insisting on ordering fast food or her preferred dishes.
She was transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Karachi due to concerns about her mental health on February 1.
Sources stated that she has been speaking incoherently and has swelling in her hands and feet.
Onijah’s son, Jeremiah Andrew Robinson, revealed earlier this week that his mother is mentally unstable and has cognitive impairments.
Her criminal record suggested she was arrested for “ENTERING PREMISES AFTER WARNING” in Charleston County in South Carolina in 2021. It also revealed that a bail bond was set at $465. However, it is not clear if the bond was paid.
