Speaker AJ&K Assembly expressed concern over the enactment of a law by India
Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, protested against the implementation of draconian laws based on inhumanity, anti-Muslim sentiment, and religious animosity by India.
Islamabad: Speaker AJ&K Assembly expressed concern over the enactment of a law by India. He demanded immediate action from influential countries, including the United Nations, OIC, and European Union.
Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly expressed concern over the enactment of a law by India mandating the requirement of domicile and a permit for granting citizenship to Muslims. He stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi abolished Article 370 and Article 35A on August 5, 2019, amending the special status and citizenship laws of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. If India does not abandon its expansionist ambitions and aggressive policies, it could lead to a clash of civilizations and threaten global peace and cultural diversity.

Chaudhry Latif Akbar said that both India and Israel are occupying countries that seek to promote terrorism and plunder global peace. Therefore, the world should make its presence felt against these heinous acts and oppressive measures. He stated that India cannot subdue the people with its eight hundred thousand occupying forces. He emphasized that the international community must take action, especially regarding the serious human rights violations, including the murder of renowned Kashmiri journalist Shujaat Bukhari. He added that Pakistan is the spokesperson and the armed forces of Pakistan are the supporters of the Kashmiris. The people of Kashmir, while sacrificing for Pakistan, are transmitting ideological ties to future generations by reciting the Kalima Tayyabah.
Speaker AJ&K Assembly expressed concern over the enactment of a law by India
The Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, also known as AJK Legislative Assembly, is a unicameral legislature of elected representatives of the autonomous state of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Pakistan, which is located in Muzaffarabad, the capital of the state. It was established under the Interim Constitution of AJK having a total of 53 seats, with 45 general seats, while 8 are reserved of which 5 are for women, 1 for Ulama, 1 for Technocrats and 1 for J&K nationals residing abroad.
The assembly consists of 45 elected Members and 8 co-opted members of which 5 are women, one member from Ulama community, while one is from amongst Jammu & Kashmir technocrats and other professionals, whereas one is from amongst Jammu and Kashmir nationals residing abroad.
