SNGPL crackdown continues against gas pilferers, 377 disconnections disconnected

The crackdown extended to Islamabad, where the operation led to the disconnection of 7 connections.
In a robust operation against gas pilferers, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) conducted extensive raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, disconnecting 377 unauthorized connections and imposing fines totaling Rs 2 million.
The regional team in Lahore took strict action by disconnecting 21 connections engaged in the illegal use of gas and 25 connections involved in compressor use. Meanwhile, in Rawalpindi, 144 connections were disconnected due to the unauthorized use of gas, and two connections were severed for employing compressors, resulting in fines amounting to Rs 0.0200 million against gas theft cases.
The crackdown extended to Islamabad, where the operation led to the disconnection of 7 connections involved in the illegal use of gas. In Multan, the team disconnected 2 connections for unauthorized gas use and 7 connections for compressor usage, accompanied by a fine of Rs 0.0710 million against gas theft cases.
Peshawar and Karak witnessed the disconnection of 53 connections due to direct and illegal use of gas, accompanied by fines totaling Rs 1.8936 million against gas theft cases. In Mardan, the team disconnected 12 connections linked to the use of compressors.
In Sahiwal, three connections were severed for compressor use, while in Faisalabad, 3 connections were disconnected due to illegal gas use, and 2 connections for compressor usage. Sheikhupura faced a substantial crackdown, with 39 connections disconnected for the illegal use of gas and 12 connections for the use of compressors, resulting in a fine of Rs 0.22 million against gas theft cases.

Moreover, in Bahawalpur, one connection was disconnected for illegal gas use. The regional team in Sargodha disconnected one connection due to the illegal use of gas, and in Gujrat, 43 connections were severed for illegal gas use, resulting in a fine of Rs 0.04 million against gas theft cases.
