Saif Ali Khan Makes First Appearance After Stabbing Incident
MUMBAI: Indian actor Saif Ali Khan has stated that it was “nice to be standing” as he made his first appearance on Monday since the stabbing incident.
The 54-year-old actor participated in a Netflix event in Mumbai to promote his upcoming heist thriller, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins.
Saif appeared with a noticeable cast and a bandage on his neck as he spoke to the audience.
“It’s wonderful to be standing here in front of you, and it’s great to be here,” he mentioned while talking about the film.
The incident [took place][1] around 2:30am on January 16 when an intruder confronted Saif’s housekeeper in the apartment.
Khan stepped in to protect his family and staff, receiving multiple stab wounds, including a serious injury to his thoracic spinal cord.

He was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove a 2.5-inch knife from his spine and to address a spinal fluid leak.
The arrest of the man was identified as 31-year-old Akash Kanojia, was apprehended on a train from Chhattisgarh, the suspect’s [identity][2] has since been called into question on January 19.
