Rs10,000 Assistance Announced for 65,000 Holders of ‘Himmat Card’
New ‘Himmat Card’ Criteria: Must Hold Special Persons Certificate from District or Tehsil
Pakistan-Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced an increase in financial aid for special individuals from Rs7,500 to Rs10,000. This assistance will be provided to 65,000 eligible recipients.
The Himmat Card program will be rolled out in phases. To qualify, individuals must hold a special persons certificate issued by their district or tehsil. Payments will be transferred every three months to eligible accounts.
Recipients of financial aid from other government programs, such as Benazir Income Support, will not qualify for the Himmat Card.

The Bank of Punjab (BoP) will handle the financial transactions for the program, managing a total of Rs80.17 million. The Social Welfare Bank of Punjab will supply the necessary data. Funds must be withdrawn within 180 days of transfer, or they will be returned.
The Planning and Development Department has allocated Rs658.1 million for the project’s implementation.
