In a significant effort towards conflict resolution, the Prime Minister’s committee engaged in a constructive meeting with the Baloch Unity Committee to address and assure the resolution of pressing issues. Federal Minister Fawad Hussain Fawad, after the meeting with the Baloch Unity Committee, held a press conference alongside committee member Murtaza Solangi.

Minister Fawad Hussain Fawad emphasized that for the past 23 days, a group of women and men had been peacefully protesting in front of the Press Club, recording their protest without any interference from the government, administration, or the police. He highlighted that there was no intention to create hardship or intervene in the peaceful demonstration.

The minister acknowledged that some local individuals, by concealing their identities, attempted to disrupt the situation by creating issues. He urged that the protesters from Balochistan should feel secure and announced recommendations for their relocation to H-9 and F-9 parks. However, he noted that a few local individuals had created problems.

Fawad Hussain Fawad assured that the identified women and individuals had been released, maintaining that only those whose identities remained unknown were under custody. He stated that the police would identify the person seen in the viral video using force against the protesters, and their identity would be disclosed in due course, possibly surprising journalists.

Addressing the stone-pelting incidents, Minister Fawad explained that the series of incidents began with individuals who did not arrive with the Balochistan protesters but joined later, hiding their faces. He stressed that the situation would be presented in court according to the directives of the Islamabad High Court.
