PM Shehbaz laid foundation stone of Sukkur-Hyderabad motorway (M-6)

Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of a 306-kilometre-long Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M-6). The premier attended the ground breaking ceremony in Sukkur where Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other officials were present.

As per details, it is the last section of the Peshawar-Karachi Motorway after which all major and important cities of Pakistan will be connected through motorways. The project will be completed in a short period of 30 months under the public-private partnership.

Meanwhile, Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the ground breaking of the Sukkur-Hyderabad motorway was an important development towards the fulfillment of former PM Nawaz Sharif s dream of connecting the entire country through motorways.

According to the source, in a statement of Marriyum Aurangzeb, she said the completion of this project would provide modern, comfortable and fast travelling facilities to the people. Besides avoiding accidents, the traffic pressure on GT Road would reduce.

Moreover she said the completion of the project would accelerate economic activities in the country and greatly facilitate the traders, industrialists and farmers to transport their products.
