The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls for real international intervention to enable our people to freely enter and pray in Jerusalem

Condemns the occupation forces’ storming of 8 mosques in the city of Nablus, tampering with them and vandalizing them

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stresses that the occupation authorities have no authority or right to restrict citizens’ entry to pray in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under any pretext or justification, and considers determining the age of worshipers a blatant violation of the obligations of the occupying power and a violation of international law and the principle of the right to freedom of movement and access to places of worship.

The Ministry believes that the restrictions accompanying determining the age of men and women add further restrictions on the number of worshipers on Fridays, and invalidate the occupation’s arguments and justifications for determining the age, in addition to the fact that Jerusalem is an occupied Palestinian land according to international legitimacy resolutions and is not subject to Israeli sovereignty.
