Nasir Zaidi said in his speech that there was a military operation in 1971 and on March 27, 1971, the PFUJ passed a resolution condemning the partition of the country and rejected restrictions on expression. At that time, the PFUJ was divided. This question also arises among our youth that why these organizations are divided, then it should be known that all these divisions are done by the establishment, they do everything for our interests. We had made it clear then that we would accept the Wage Award and would not accept restrictions on journalists. There was a movement against the censorship of PFUJ and against the suppression of freedom of expression. To eliminate the effects of this movement, an organization in the form of PFUJ constitution was formed against us, despite all these conspiracies, our struggle continues, he said that we will stick to our principles, the constitution and the struggle will continue according to our principles, he said that PFUJ has to be very active and play its role. trolling people, journalism has rules and regulations, we need awareness to solve the problems we are facing today, we need to adapt ourselves according to the definition of a professional journalist, we have to take action against journalists who are carrying the agenda of political parties, we have to identify the black sheep hidden in our ranks who are causing discredit to journalists, at the level of PFUJ. Urgent steps need to be taken, Nasir Zaidi said that we will not accept any compromise on freedom of expression, we will become a wall in front of those who use the laws for their own interests. Will raise voice at every level and never compromise, freedom of expression is subject to freedom of press. Afzal Butt said that while there are challenges regarding freedom of speech on the one hand, on the other hand there are twenty-five or thirty people in the whole country who are causing disrepute to thousands of journalists in Pakistan.
