Maryam Nawaz claims Imran Khan is history now

KP masses look up to Nawaz Sharif in difficult times,

ABBOTABAD_Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president Maryam Nawaz said on Thursday the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa looked up to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in difficult times.

Addressing a convention, Ms Nawaz said, “PML-N supremo had handed over me the responsibility of chief organiser”.

Pointing out the PTI-led government’s contributions, Ms Nawaz berated PTI chief Imran Khan “on not building a single university or college in the province.”

Assailing the PTI’s Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Programme , Ms Nawaz said, “The PTI government had devastated the forests.”

Addressing party’s convention in Abbottabad, she claimed that Imran was now ‘history’ and that his political career was over.

She was of the view that Imran was to blame for the situation the country was in these days. “When a ‘mentally deranged’ person will be made the prime minister, the country will always meet the same fate,” Maryam commented.

She promised that if the PML-N won the next general elections by a two-third majority, it would create a separate province for the people of Hazara.

She further said these were not his injuries, but his (Imran’s) crimes which stopped the PTI chief from attending hearing of his cases.

PML-N stalwart said that it was Imran who had left the country at the mercy of the IMF.

She expressed surprise that so many questions were asked from the coalition government about its performance, but not from Imran, who as per her claim, was responsible for the present sorry state of affairs. “So poor was governance under the PTI government that even Lahore started resembling with Peshawar,” Maryam opined.

She asked the PTI chief to first ask his wife to surrender to police before starting the ‘Jail Bharo Tehreek’.

PML-N senior VP said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) needed leaders like Nawaz Sharif.

She questioned which were the projects of people’s welfare had Imran initiated in KP. “On the other hand, projects in all four provinces of the country bear Nawaz’s name,” she boasted.

Maryam said that the PTI chief would have to be held accountable for his misdeeds.
