Kashmir Solidarity Day Program to be Held in Paris on February 2
Hashmi Slams Indian Politicians, Reaffirms Kashmiris' Right to Self-Determination

Paris, January 29, 2025 — An expression of solidarity program in support of Kashmir’s struggle for self-determination will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 7:30 PM at the New Maharaja Grill Restaurant in Paris. The event, organized by the International Kashmir Peace Forum France, is being held in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, which is observed annually on February 5.
The program will see the participation of Pakistanis and Kashmiris from Paris and across Europe, as well as political figures, social activists, and individuals from various sectors of society. The gathering aims to raise awareness about the ongoing human rights violations in Kashmir and to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their fight for self-determination.
Zahid Iqbal Hashmi, President of the International Kashmir Peace Forum France, emphasized the significance of the day, stating that the event’s purpose is to remind the world of the atrocities being committed by India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Hashmi condemned India’s continued oppression, highlighting the millions of Kashmiris who have lost their lives in the conflict. He described India’s actions as a “disgraceful black stain” on the country’s so-called democracy.
Hashmi also criticized the political exploitation of the Kashmir issue by Indian politicians, accusing them of using the situation as a tool to gain votes while the military conducts fabricated operations against the people. He affirmed that the Kashmiri people will never accept foreign domination and must have the right to determine their own future.
