There is a possibility that Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s suggestions will be incorporated into the draft of the constitutional amendments. The JUI-F has reportedly completed 80% of its own draft of proposed amendments. Sources also indicate that the government is in contact with Sardar Akhtar Mengal, the head of the Balochistan National Party. It is anticipated that both senators from Mengal’s party will support the government in the Senate.
