Internet & Mobile Services Disrupted in Azad Kashmir Amid Public Action Committee Protests

In Poonch, Bagh, and Jhelum Valley districts, the strike and wheel-jam protest continue unabated.

Muzaffarabad: In several cities, including Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, internet services have been disrupted, and mobile services are affected due to the prevailing situation.

The Public Action Committee’s long march, wheel-jam strike, and shutdown mark the third consecutive day of protests, leading to the suspension of internet services in Bimber and mobile phone services in Bagh. Moreover, Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, witnesses a complete blackout of all mobile networks and internet services.

Reports suggest that participants of the long march from Mirpur Kotli have reached the Tehpani and Hajeera areas, intending to continue their journey to Muzaffarabad. To deter large-scale public transportation and movement, authorities have erected barricades on various roads leading to Muzaffarabad.

In Poonch, Bagh, and Jhelum Valley districts, the strike and wheel-jam protest continue unabated. This follows the government’s decision to replace the Commissioner and Inspector General of Police of Muzaffarabad due to their failure to control the demonstrators.
