Government Announces Hajj Third Installment Payment Dates and Key Updates for 2025 Pilgrims

Islamabad – The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially announced that the third installment for Pakistan’s Government Hajj Scheme will be collected from February 6 to 14, 2025. Pilgrims who have applied for the government Hajj scheme are urged to ensure timely payments at designated banks during this period to secure their participation in the sacred pilgrimage this year.

The announcement comes with a reminder to all Hajj applicants that completing the payment on time is essential for confirming their participation in the Hajj 2025, which is expected to see a significant number of pilgrims from Pakistan.

Hajj Quota and Distribution for 2025

Pakistan has been allocated a total Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims by Saudi Arabia for the year 2025. The quota is evenly divided between the government and private sectors, with 89,605 seats each. In response to high demand, the Ministry had previously reopened the application process from January 10 to fill 5,000 remaining seats under the government quota after the initial number of applicants fell short.

To assist pilgrims in navigating the process, the Ministry has launched the “Pak Hajj 2025” mobile application, available for both Android and iPhone users, providing a convenient platform for real-time updates and information.

Lower Airfare for Government Scheme Pilgrims

In another positive development for pilgrims, the government has announced a reduction in airfare for the Hajj 2025 under the federal program. The ticket price has been slashed to 220,000 Pakistani Rupees, down from last year’s 234,000 Rupees, making the pilgrimage more affordable for a broader segment of the population.

Flight Schedule and Official Hajj Operation Dates

The official Hajj operation for 2025 will begin on April 29, coinciding with the 1st of Dhu al-Qi’dah 1446 Hijri. The return of pilgrims is expected to begin on the 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah, marking the conclusion of the Hajj journey.

A Spiritual Journey: Step-by-Step Guide for Pilgrims

For those about to embark on this life-changing journey, the Ministry has also outlined the key rituals and steps of the Hajj pilgrimage, from the state of purity (Ihram) to the final Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wada) around the Kaaba. Pilgrims will perform important rituals such as Tawaf, Sa’i, standing at Arafat, and the stoning of the devil (Ramy al-Jamarat), each step an integral part of the Hajj experience that deepens the spiritual connection to faith.
