‘GMC’ shaping the successful future of media industry: Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan
ABU DHABI (Mudassar Chaudhary): A three-day Global Media Congress on the changing global trends and future of media was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in which more than 5,541 delegates and 170 experts participated as speakers.
The media congress organized workshops and discussions on the topics of changing media trends in the world, impact of technology and artificial intelligence on media, challenges and opportunities in the age of social media, disinformation, sports and environmental reporting. 193 global brands set up their stalls at the congress in which the participants showed great interest.
Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has said that “Launch edition of Global Media Conference was successful in shaping the future of the media industry.”
The stalls included media production, media monitoring, international news organizations and companies developing innovative applications. The conference was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Al Omar Sultan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence of the United Arab Emirates.
Experts gave awareness about digital reporting skills
At the Global Congress, digital media experts informed journalists from all over the world about digital reporting skills. In the three-day event, experts shed light on the challenges of social media in their respective countries and the future of traditional media, the business of mainstream media. The models and its alternative economic models were discussed in detail.
The future and economic challenges of the print media in the changing world were also discussed in the media congress, during which interesting facts were revealed that newspapers in Europe, America and many Asian countries are facing problems due to the decreasing number of readers, while including India. In some countries, rather than declining, the newspaper industry is surprisingly growing in readership.

At the Global Media Congress, media experts expressed their views and said that artificial intelligence will have more positive and revolutionary effects than negative for the media.
