Babar and Rauf Star as Stallions Outshine Lions

Stallions Secure Convincing 133-Run Victory

Faisalabad-(Sports Reporter)-The Stallions dominated the Lions in the second match of the Champions One-Day Cup, securing a resounding 133-run victory at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. Babar Azam’s masterful 76 and the bowlers’ exceptional performance propelled the Stallions to a convincing win.

Chasing a daunting target of 337, the Lions struggled to find their footing, ultimately being bowled out for 203 in 40 overs. Imamul Haq’s 78 was the lone bright spot in the Lions’ innings, but his efforts were not enough to salvage the match.

In contrast, the Stallions’ batting lineup fired on all cylinders, posting an impressive 336-5 in their 50 overs. Babar Azam’s classy 76, Tayyab’s aggressive 74, and Mohammad Haris’s explosive 55 formed the backbone of the Stallions’ innings.

The Stallions’ bowlers then took center stage, with Haris Rauf leading the charge with three wickets. Mohammad Ali and Jahandad Khan claimed two wickets each, while Abrar Ahmed, Hussain Talat, and Mehran Mumtaz chipped in with a wicket apiece.

The Lions’ bowling attack, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, struggled to contain the Stallions’ batsmen, with only Aamer Jamal and Afridi managing to pick up two wickets each.

The Stallions’ victory sets the tone for the rest of the tournament, showcasing their strength and depth in the domestic white-ball competition.
