AJK PM Encourages Students to Serve the State
Directs Authorities to Organize Seminars, Launch Campaign on Kashmir Issue
Muzaffarabad (Shoaib Mehmood)_Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar Haq emphasized the significance of the young generation in shaping the future of the state. Addressing students who graduated from the internship program organized by the Kashmir Policy Research Institute, he stressed the importance of their role in strengthening the state’s system and highlighting the Kashmir issue.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the consciousness and awareness of the youth in Azad Kashmir, calling them the “architects of the state.” He encouraged them to serve the people of the state and contribute to its development. The ceremony was attended by senior ministers, government officials, and university students.
Prime Minister Haq announced that the Public Service Commission and NTS have been activated to ensure merit-based appointments, eradicating the culture of patronage. He highlighted the importance of personal and democratic freedoms, which are alive in Azad Kashmir, and the introduction of Right to Information and E-Governance systems for transparency.
The Prime Minister emphasized the crucial role of youth in the construction and development of Azad Kashmir and the Kashmir issue. He announced opportunities for university-level students to work with ministers in ministries. He contrasted the situation in Azad Kashmir with Occupied Kashmir, where India has taken away civil liberties.

The Prime Minister distributed certificates among the students and later chaired a meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell Board. The Board approved the supplementary budget for 2023-24 and the estimated budget for 2024-25. Prime Minister Haq directed authorities to organize seminars for students to create awareness about the Kashmir issue and launch a campaign to highlight human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
