Operation Bunyanum Marsoos: Pakistan Armed Forces Deliver Decisive Blow in Response to Indian Aggression

RAWALPINDI – : In a powerful demonstration of military resolve and national unity, the Pakistan Armed Forces conducted Operation Bunyanum Marsoos on May 10, 2025, as part of the broader conflict Marka-e-Haq, which began following the deadly Indian attacks on April 22 and escalated further on the night of May 6–7. The operation was launched in response to what Pakistan has called “dastardly Indian aggression” that claimed the lives of innocent civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.

According to a detailed press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was a “decisive, calibrated, and proportionate” military response designed to deliver justice and retribution for the brutal killings of Pakistani citizens. The Armed Forces hailed the success of the operation, attributing it to divine support, military professionalism, technological edge, and the unwavering support of the Pakistani nation.

High-Precision Strikes Across India and IIOJK

Operation Bunyanum Marsoos saw the coordinated use of long-range precision weapons, including the Fatah F1 and F2 missile systems, loitering killer drones, airstrikes, and cyber operations. A total of 26 high-value military targets were struck in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and mainland India, including major airbases such as Pathankot, Srinagar, Ambala, Adampur, and Bhuj, all of which reportedly sustained significant damage.

Key strategic facilities such as BrahMos missile storage sites at Beas and Nagrota, S-400 air defense batteries, and intelligence and logistics hubs were also targeted and neutralized. The ISPR confirmed the deliberate targeting of sites involved in the planning and execution of attacks on Pakistani soil, including those that enabled Indian-sponsored terrorism in KP and Balochistan.

Cyber and Drone Superiority Demonstrated

During the operation, Pakistan’s drone fleet hovered over several Indian cities—including New Delhi—showcasing Pakistan’s advanced long-range unmanned aerial capabilities. At the same time, Pakistani cyber forces launched operations to degrade Indian military communication and support infrastructure temporarily.

National Unity and Tactical Restraint

Despite its overwhelming operational capability, Pakistan’s military response was, according to ISPR, carefully calibrated to avoid civilian casualties, focusing solely on military and terrorist infrastructure. ISPR noted that even as provocations escalated, Pakistan’s restraint and commitment to international norms remained intact.

The operation was marked by seamless tri-services jointness, with synchronized efforts from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and cyber units. “Pakistan’s response was a textbook demonstration of multi-domain warfare,” the statement read.

Tribute to the Nation and Institutions

The Armed Forces expressed deep gratitude to the Shuhada (martyrs), their families, and the injured civilians. The statement also praised the youth of Pakistan for their role as cyber warriors, media outlets for countering Indian propaganda, and the diplomatic corps for effectively representing Pakistan’s position internationally.

Thanks were also extended to the scientific and engineering community for their role in developing indigenous military technologies and to the political leadership, including the Prime Minister and Cabinet, for taking “destiny-altering decisions” during this national crisis.
