India’s Elections in Occupied Kashmir Condemned as ‘Sham’
Leadership vows to support Kashmir freedom movement,
Rawalkot-(Special Correspondent)-The All Parties Conference, chaired by the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, convened on October 13, 2024, to address pressing issues related to occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Palestine, and regional stability.
The conference categorically rejected the recent elections held in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, labeling them a nefarious conspiracy by India to divert attention from the dire human rights situation. The conference asserted that these elections cannot replace the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
The participants demanded that India, claiming to be a democracy, should allow Kashmiris to exercise their right to self-determination freely, enabling them to decide their own future.
The conference paid tribute to the freedom-loving people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who have kept the Kashmir freedom movement alive despite facing unimaginable atrocities. The leadership of the All-Parties Hurriyat Conference and the courageous Kashmiri youth were specifically acknowledged.
The conference expressed full solidarity with the Kashmiri people and strongly condemned Israeli aggression in Palestine, calling on the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to intervene and stop the genocide.
The conference also condemned India’s attempts to destabilize Azad Kashmir and praised Pakistan’s armed forces for their sacrifices in defending the homeland along the Line of Control.
The participants expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, its people, and institutions for their unwavering support to Azad Kashmir, particularly during difficult financial times.
The conference honored the martyrs of the Kashmir Liberation Movement, Pakistan Army, and Azad Kashmir Police.
Emphasizing national unity and stability, the conference vowed to discourage elements spreading chaos and discord.
The conference strongly condemned terrorism incidents in Pakistan and reaffirmed the people’s support for law enforcement agencies.
Welcoming the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting in Islamabad, the conference demanded an end to atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The participants reiterated their commitment to resolving long-standing issues through democratic means, discouraging parallel governments and emphasizing the need for political organizations to register under Azad Kashmir’s constitution.
The conference rejected any method that perpetuates violence and hardship, instead advocating for democratic processes to achieve people’s rights.
Finally, the conference appealed to the United Nations, the international community, and organizations to implement Security Council resolutions on Kashmir, recognizing that resolving the Kashmir issue is essential for regional peace.
This collective stance reflected the unified commitment of Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s political parties to the Kashmir cause, regional stability, and democratic principles.
