PTI’s senior leadership ignored in party: Shaukat Yousafzai
He pointed out that there was a strong understanding between Fawad Chaudhry and Imran Ismail.
ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai has raised concerns about the treatment of senior leaders within the party, asserting that many are being overlooked.
In a candid interview with local TV channel, Yousafzai emphasized that despite any departures, the party’s unity remains intact. “Even if all the leaders leave, the party will not break,” he affirmed. Highlighting internal dynamics, he noted that Umar Ayub has resigned as General Secretary to assume the role of opposition leader.
Yousafzai acknowledged that as the party grows, so do its internal differences. He maintained that PTI remains a democratic entity where everyone has a voice, dismissing claims of division as misconceptions.
Addressing current challenges, Yousafzai stated that the party’s founders are committed and have not sought any concessions (NRO). He assured that PTI is stable, despite changes in leadership and an influx of new members, including capable lawyers. The party’s workers, though under pressure, are concerned about the incarceration of PTI’s founder.
He pointed out that there was a strong understanding between Fawad Chaudhry and Imran Ismail. Those who struggled during difficult times are now seeing a return to normalcy, with the most capable individuals stepping up courageously.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Govt Revives Social Media Project with Legal Framework
Peshawar,: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the relaunch of its social media project, aiming to leverage online platforms for communication and engagement. As reported by Dawn News, the government is currently working to establish a legal framework for the project, with relevant regulations sent to the Ministry of Law for review.
This initiative includes the creation of a dedicated social media directorate to oversee government communications across various platforms. The project also plans to collaborate with social media influencers, entrusting them with official advertising campaigns.
It’s important to note that the previous government, led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, had launched a similar project involving over 1200 influencers. However, the project was terminated by the caretaker government, which also recommended further scrutiny.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s revival of the project signifies a renewed commitment to utilizing social media for public outreach. The legal framework being developed suggests an effort to address past concerns and ensure transparent implementation.
