PMYP Promotes Youth Empowerment through Table Tennis National League

Expressing his vision for a competitive yet harmonious environment, Mr. Khan reiterated his commitment to guiding youth towards a brighter future

Islamabad:  The Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), recently concluded the Table Tennis National League with a grand ceremony held at the Pakistan Sports Board.

The event, graced by the esteemed presence of Chairman PMYP, Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem, setting the tone for a celebration of sportsmanship and talent.

Mr. Khan extended heartfelt congratulations to the winning teams, emphasizing the significance of merit in driving progress. Encouraging those who did not clinch victory, he urged them to persevere, reaffirming PMYP’s commitment to nurturing the potential of youth.

Speaking passionately, Mr. Khan highlighted PMYP’s dedication to empowering young individuals to confront future challenges. He stressed the pivotal role of sports in fostering a healthy society and encouraged active participation in extracurricular activities to contribute to national development.

Underlining PMYP’s multifaceted initiatives for youth welfare, including sports projects and schemes like the Youth Loan Scheme and the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, Mr. Khan shed light on the Talent Hunt Youth Sports League. This groundbreaking initiative, organized in collaboration with universities and the HEC, aimed to engage youth in healthy activities, providing them with platforms to excel in sports.

The league witnessed enthusiastic participation from two teams representing each province, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, showcasing the best talents from across the nation. Mr. Khan announced plans for future training camps, nurturing aspiring athletes for international competitions like the SAF Games.

Expressing his vision for a competitive yet harmonious environment, Mr. Khan reiterated his commitment to guiding youth towards a brighter future. Addressing the young players, he called upon them to pledge allegiance to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, irrespective of their field.

In the table tennis league, Punjab A, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa A, and B secured the top positions in the boys’ category, while Punjab B, Punjab A, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa A excelled in the girls’ category.

The ceremony culminated with the distribution of prizes among the triumphant teams, symbolizing PMYP’s dedication to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence among Pakistan’s youth.
