79,000 Hajj Applicants Successful; Limited Seats Left

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced that all 79,000 pilgrims who submitted their applications by December 10 have been declared successful for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.

A ministry spokesperson, Muhammad Umar Butt, revealed that the Hajj application process saw an overwhelming response, with over 10,000 new applications received during the one-week extension period. To accommodate the demand, the ministry has decided to accept applications for the remaining limited seats under a first-come, first-served policy.

Applicants seeking to secure one of these limited seats must ensure they submit their applications promptly. Once the remaining seats are filled, the ministry will officially announce the closure of applications.

Umar Butt emphasized that new applicants should obtain a computerized receipt from the relevant bank upon submitting their applications, as seat allocation will be based on the date and time printed on the receipt.

Additionally, the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme will continue to operate on the same first-come, first-served basis. Following the completion of the government quota, the ministry will announce the schedule for the second installment of Hajj dues.

To keep applicants informed, the ministry has encouraged pilgrims to use the Pak Hajj Mobile App, which will provide important updates, including payment schedules, training sessions, and flight details.

The proactive measures by the Ministry of Religious Affairs aim to streamline the Hajj process and ensure maximum facilitation for all applicants.
