6.3 magnitude earthquake recorded in Islamabad and other parts of Pakistan
Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) An earthquake hit several parts of the country, including Islamabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.3 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was Tajikistan. National Seismic Monitoring Centre said the earthquake had a longitude of 69.65 East and latitude of 38.65 North.
According to the source, there were no reports of any damage from the earthquake as tremors were also felt in other cities of the country. Residents of different cities also took to twitter to report the earthquake. This is for the third time that earthquake hit the South Asian country in Jan 2023 as a 5.1 magnitude quake jolted southwestern Baluchistan in wees hours of Jan 19.
As per details Tremors were felt in Harnai, Loralai and other nearby areas. On Jan 13, an earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale jolted Swat and its adjoining areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
