NAB arrests Maryam Nawaz in Chaudhry Sugar Mills reference
LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday arrested Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz in Chaudhry Sugar Mills reference.
Maryam was taken into custody while she was on her way back from visiting her father Nawaz Sharif at the Kot Lakhpat Jail who is serving prison time there in Al-Azizia Steel Mills corruption reference.
According to an official statement by NAB, Maryam and her cousin Yousaf Abbas Sharif were taken into custody in connection with a graft case relating to Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM), a sugar mill owned by the Sharif family.
They will be presented before an accountability court on Friday, the statement added.
